My name is Stamatis Baronos and I am an anesthesiologist by trade! I am currently pursuing subspecialty training in Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Throughout my residency, I was exposed to perioperative ultrasonography and it did not take long to realize that this is the future of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine! In my fellowship, I was trained with a robust yearlong critical care echocardiography course that helped me develop the pillars to become an expert in ultrasonography! My mission is to develop a quick and easy to digest curriculum to pass on my knowledge and train you in Perioperative and Critical Care Ultrasound!
My name is Gabriel Prada and I am an anesthesiology resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After completing medical school at Universidad ICESI in Cali, Colombia, I spent a year and a half at Mayo Clinic working in research and education of point of care ultrasound in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. My academic passions are echocardiography, lung ultrasound, education and the science of learning, and I plan to further my knowledge by pursuing fellowships in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, as well as a master’s in education. My mission is to improve how perioperative ultrasound is taught around the world by helping develop practical and didactic yet effective and comprehensive learning tools that are free and widely accessible.
This is an exciting time for critical care providers! Ultrasound utilization is now higher than ever before! The National Board of Echocardiography recently announced the new Examination of Special Competence in Critical Care Echocardiography (CCEeXAM)! Our goal is to engage all clinicians to incorporate bedside ultrasonography in their daily practice.
Our goal is to create a valuable and freely accessible resource for clinicians at the bedside! We are hopeful to keep adding great content and one day be able to provide CME credits to our subscribers!
